We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to Emer and her team at the Village at Lyons for making our wedding day in May 2011 so special. Emer was extremely helpful and professional throughout the entire process and provided us with advice and suggestions to make the day run as smoothly as possible. Her experience with wedding co-ordination put our minds at ease on several occasions. The Village at Lyons is a truly beautiful venue and a very unique wedding location. Many of our guests had travelled from Germany and America and all were extremely impressed. The grounds, the accommodation and the reception rooms themselves are all stunning. Very little floral decoration is required to complete the tables as the reception room itself is so beautiful. In addition the grounds provide some wonderful photo opportunities and in the event of rain, the Mill itself is perfect for photos too. We really liked the fact that the reception room is located on two levels and we were able to have tables on both levels. This allowed the guests to mingle between the bar/outside area on the upper level and the dancefloor on the lower level as the night went on. We even had two children who slept soundly for several hours at the end of the night in the snug on the lower level. For the guests who were not a fan of “loud” music, there was a quieter alcove in the upstairs area and another reception area with couches and a bar just outside. The food and the service were also spectacular and we have received several compliments on these. In addition, as our wedding was a multi-lingual affair the Village at Lyons had no problems with printing menus etc in two languages. At the end of the night, we retired to the honeymoon suite, Shackleton House, and what a surprise this was. We only wish we could have spent the whole weekend there to enjoy this beautiful cottage and even the private garden. We will definitely be back to spend an anniversary here. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

We had a fantastic time, the food was superb, the service was great, the grounds of the Lyons Estate look stunning in our wedding photo's. I would like to thank you especially for your time and attention to detail. I would highly recommend the Lyons Estate as a magical wedding venue.
Our Wedding Day on 11th September 2009 at The Village at Lyons was one we will never forget. It all started so perfectly with myself and my sister waking to the sound of the resident Love Doves outside our window in the beautiful Shackelton House! Getting ready at the Lyons Village was such a treat... hair & makeup team on hand as well as the great waiting staff serving us breakfast as we were pampered was bliss! After the Church we returned to the Village for a gorgeous champagne reception in the courtyard and for our guests who had never been to the Village they were in complete awe of its charm and beauty. Everything about the day was magical, the reception room is so stunning that very little decoration is needed, a few simple flowers and table settings is all that's needed. I have to say that the staff were excellent; so friendly and efficient and compliments to the Chef on an amazing meal. A highlight for me was our first dance in the candelit coutyard with the fire burning in the background...it was perfect. If you are looking for something a little different I can t recommend The Village at Lyons enough. A truly magical place for the best day of your life!
